 Mision Tiburon is a non profit organization. Their goal is to promote research, conservation and management of sharks and other marine life.

Misión Tiburón began in 2009 . A group of young marine biologists were concerned about the worldwide dwindeling of shark populations.

Misión Tiburón is made up of young professionals who are love marine life and are committed to the support shark conservation. The promoters of Mision Tiburon have recently worked on educational projects and frequently take part in marine research with sharks and other species such as turtles and rays. These years of experience and the knowledge they have aquired give them the know how to lead the way for new marine conservation projects in the coming years.

English - Okay, today we made an event and it was all about sharks because mission tiburon is a a non-governmental organization working here in Guanacaste starting with a project about bull sharks. We launched it today the project and made a fundraiser.  I was painting several paintings and thenIlenia from mission tiburon was doing also a little speech about the situation with sharks. The project is going to be for tagging bull sharks and studying them. So it got to be a very interestingproject going on here in Guanacaste. At the very end of the event we made an auction with all of the paintings I was creating here. I have to say people was helping me to create the paintings with drums and many percussion instruments, creating the music for me to paint with. So it was a very funny event we all enjoyed it a lot and we made pretty good money for the sharks so we are very happy it was a great event and many other good things are coming with shark conservation. Thank you

Español - Bueno hoy hicimos un evento y fue todo sobre los tiburones debido a la Misión Tiburón es una técnica no-gubernamental activa aquí en Guanacaste se está iniciando con un proyecto sobre los tiburones toro. Lo inició hoy el proyecto e hizo un evento para recaudar fondos. Yo estaba pintando varias pinturas y luego ileniade la Misión Tiburón estaba haciendo también un pequeño discurso sobre la situación de los tiburones. El proyecto va a ser para los tiburones toro de etiquetado y su estudio. Por lo tanto, tiene que ser un proyecto muy interesante pasando aquíen Guanacaste. Al final del evento se realizó una subasta con todas las pinturas que he creado aquí. Tengo que decir que las personas me estaban ayudando a crear las pinturas con los tambores y los instrumentos de percusión muchos, la creación de la música para mí pintar. Así que fue un evento muy divertido que todos lo disfrutamos mucho y ganamos muy buen dinero para los tiburones por lo que estamos muy contentos de que era un gran evento y muchas otras cosas buenas vienen en el futuro con la conservación del tiburón. Gracias
